A career in air traffic services puts you on the front line keeping aircraft moving safely and efficiently. These are challenging and rewarding careers, where no two days on the job are the same. There are two main professions in the field of air traffic services – Air Traffic Controller and Flight Service Specialist – each with their own specializations and a key role in one of the world’s safest air navigation services.

Recruitment and Training

Possible Posts

The country is broken down into seven flight information regions – known respectively as the Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Moncton and Gander flight information regions. When you apply to the company, you apply to one of these regions and, at completion of training, are normally posted to one of the locations in the region.

The location you will work at will depend on which of the four air traffic services careers you are suited for. Note that you will be posted within the region you applied. The location you are posted at is based on operational requirements.
